Adventures in Turquoise

About 3 years ago I decided to make a man's turquoise necklace for my Uncle Albert. Uncle Albert is over 70 years old and lives in the 4 corners area which, I am sure you know, is in Navajo Country. He was a farmer, had 7 or 9 kids (I really can't remember) and he was a Christian missionary to the Navajo People. So I thought I would make him a necklace, but it took me over three years to finish it. The reason it took me so long to make my uncle's necklace is because the words and images would come off due to human perspiration. I tried every lacquer spray in every store I knew. Nothing worked. After 3 years of trying I finally found a commercial water base sealant that is highly resistant to water and abrasion, and at the same time safe for the human skin. We have developed several lines of turquoise beads that we sell wholesale: #1 Route 66 (of course), #2 South west (End of the trail, cave drawing buffalo, kokopelli, and more), #3 Christian items, #4 Quilting and Sewing items, and more. Its a great life and we intend to have many turquoise adventures with customers from around the world. We sell to Route 66 Gift Shops, Bible Stores, South West Gift Shops, Quilt Shops, and more.
